SYNOPSIS:
Lucy is stuck with a father with bizarre and questionable intentions. He just can’t stand the thought of his sexy little girl in love with someone else. Between tears and revenge, Lucy must face this crisis and follow her heart…Who will she choose?
The basic idea to adapt MOLIERE’s play, ‘L’amour médecin’ came in the summer of 2006.
JOLAM LAMOUREUX was casted in the stage version and JACKYLL RAMONE saw the performance. He decided to make his own adaptation. It only took a week to rewrite it and start pre-production work.
The new concept was to treat the story as a dark gothic fantasy. A subtle comedy. What would the play look like on film if turned into a ROGER CORMAN directed gothic piece starring VINCENT PRICE? ‘THE TOMB OF LEGIA’ was the main reference. Soon the parts were casted. JOLAM LAMOUREUX, VERONIQUE PLAMONDON and ISABELLE CREPEAU joined JACKYLL for a 2 days shoot after only a week of preparation. All delivering top-notch performances.
The film was completed again just in time for it’s premiere on October 28th.
First in a series of adaptations to be brought on screen in the near future, LUCY is again a stylish, one-of-a-kind film only GRUESOME NONSENSE could have produced.
